About the Role
Motivera Search Group is hiring a Line Cook Assistant to support the Grill and Food Trailer. This position is perfect for someone with a passion for food, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced kitchen environment. You’ll help prepare and serve high-quality meals while ensuring smooth operations during daily service and special events.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items following established recipes and standards
- Assist with food prep, grilling, frying, and plating dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and food trailer
- Ensure food safety and sanitation compliance at all times
- Operate POS systems and handle cash/credit transactions accurately
- Support inventory management, restocking, and trailer setup/teardown
- Provide excellent customer service to guests and community partners
- Represent the program at events and catering partnerships
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; culinary or hospitality education preferred
- Minimum 2 years of food service experience
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment, cooking techniques, and food safety practices
- Ability to obtain Food Safety Certification within 3 months of hire
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Valid Texas driver’s license; must be at least 21 years old
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and travel as needed
