Building Custodian
Summary of Function
The Building Custodian provides essential custodial support through daily and weekly cleaning and maintenance activities. This role ensures a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for all staff, residents, and visitors.
Organizational Responsibilities
As a representative of Motivera Search Group, the Custodian will:

- Support accreditation and regulatory compliance efforts.

- Manage resources responsibly and report any incidents of abuse or unsafe conditions.
- Contribute to Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives.
- Communicate effectively and collaborate with internal teams and external vendors.
- Attend staff meetings and complete documentation as assigned.
Job-Specific Duties
Essential Responsibilities:
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Perform daily cleaning: trash disposal, restrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
- Conduct weekly tasks: vacuuming, mopping, furniture polishing, and sweeping entrances.
- Assist with resident training and safety education in custodial tasks.
- Complete additional duties as needed: floor buffing/waxing, carpet shampooing, snow removal.
- Interact appropriately and respectfully with residents.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Prior custodial/maintenance experience preferred.
- Familiarity with custodial equipment preferred.
- Strong time management and attention to detail.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Physical requirements: bending, lifting, grasping, pushing/pulling, prolonged standing/sitting.
- Valid Texas driver’s license required.
- Must be available for travel as needed.
