About the Role
Motivera Search Group is seeking a mission-driven Director of Food Service to lead dining operations for a respected West Texas facility. This role combines leadership, logistics, and mentorship in a dynamic environment that values quality, safety, and community impact.
Responsibilities
- Oversee food service operations including planning, preparation, purchasing, and compliance
- Supervise meat processing, catering, warehouse, and dining hall activities
- Coordinate menus and special events (e.g., rodeos, cantatas, graduation ceremonies)
- Train and mentor youth participants in food service activities
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
- Manage inventory, budgets, credit card reconciliations, and employee time sheets
- Conduct inspections, staff evaluations, and professional development
- Promote safety, quality improvement, and respectful workplace culture
Supervisory Scope
- Coordinator, Slaughter & Meat Processing Operations
- Dining Facility Attendants
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food & Nutrition, Dietetics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years in quantity food service, staff supervision, and inventory management
- General knowledge of meat processing and food service equipment
- Strong time management and detail orientation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Valid Texas driver’s license and willingness to travel
- Serve Safe Manager’s License (or willingness to obtain within one year)
- Must be at least 21 years of age
