Position Overview

Motivera Search Group is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Painter for one of our valued clients. The Industrial Painter is responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing surfaces using a variety of techniques and materials to meet quality and safety standards. This role plays a critical part in ensuring product durability, corrosion protection, and overall finish quality.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, blasting, and masking as required
  • Apply coatings using spray guns, brushes, rollers, or other industrial painting equipment
  • Mix and match paints, primers, and coatings according to specifications
  • Inspect work to ensure compliance with quality standards and project requirements
  • Operate and maintain painting equipment and tools
  • Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of hazardous materials and use of PPE
  • Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical specifications
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Perform touch-ups and repairs as needed

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2+ years of experience in industrial or commercial painting preferred
  • Knowledge of industrial coatings, surface preparation, and application techniques
  • Experience with spray systems (airless, conventional, or electrostatic)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and safety guidelines
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in various environments (including heights or confined spaces)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in industrial painting or coatings application
  • Experience in manufacturing, construction, or heavy equipment environments
  • Knowledge of OSHA and safety standards
  • Familiarity with sandblasting or abrasive blasting techniques

Work Environment

  • Industrial or manufacturing setting with exposure to paint fumes, dust, and varying temperatures
  • May require use of respirators and other protective equipment
  • Potential for overtime and weekend work based on project demands
