Position Overview
Motivera Search Group is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Painter for one of our valued clients. The Industrial Painter is responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing surfaces using a variety of techniques and materials to meet quality and safety standards. This role plays a critical part in ensuring product durability, corrosion protection, and overall finish quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, blasting, and masking as required
- Apply coatings using spray guns, brushes, rollers, or other industrial painting equipment
- Mix and match paints, primers, and coatings according to specifications
- Inspect work to ensure compliance with quality standards and project requirements
- Operate and maintain painting equipment and tools
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper handling of hazardous materials and use of PPE
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Perform touch-ups and repairs as needed
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2+ years of experience in industrial or commercial painting preferred
- Knowledge of industrial coatings, surface preparation, and application techniques
- Experience with spray systems (airless, conventional, or electrostatic)
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and safety guidelines
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in various environments (including heights or confined spaces)
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in industrial painting or coatings application
- Experience in manufacturing, construction, or heavy equipment environments
- Knowledge of OSHA and safety standards
- Familiarity with sandblasting or abrasive blasting techniques
Work Environment
- Industrial or manufacturing setting with exposure to paint fumes, dust, and varying temperatures
- May require use of respirators and other protective equipment
- Potential for overtime and weekend work based on project demands
