Construction Site Safety Manager / Site Safety Coordinator (OSHA 30)
Position Overview
Motivera Search Group is seeking an experienced OSHA 30 certified Construction Site Safety Professional to oversee and enforce safety programs on active construction job sites. This role is responsible for maintaining strict compliance with OSHA construction standards, project specific safety requirements, and client expectations while promoting a zero-incident culture.
This position requires a strong construction background, hands on field presence, and the authority to proactively identify hazards and stop unsafe work.
Key Responsibilities
- Enforce all OSHA 1926 construction safety regulations, company policies, and site-specific safety plans
- Perform daily construction site safety inspections covering excavations, fall protection, scaffolding, cranes, equipment, and confined spaces
- Develop and maintain Site Specific Safety Plans (SSSPs) and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs)
- Conduct new hire safety orientations, subcontractor onboarding, and regular toolbox talks
- Monitor subcontractor compliance with site safety rules and contractual safety requirements
- Investigate and document incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; recommend and implement corrective actions
- Ensure proper use of PPE, fall protection systems, and safe work practices at all times
- Maintain accurate safety logs, audit reports, SDS documentation, and OSHA required records
- Act as the onsite safety authority and point of contact for project managers, supervisors, and client representatives
- Support project leadership in achieving safety metrics, deadlines, and compliance goals
Required Qualifications
- OSHA 30 – Construction certification (required)
- 3–5+ years of construction site safety experience
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA construction standards (1926), fall protection, excavation safety, crane & rigging, and LOTO
- Experience working on active commercial, industrial, civil, or multifamily construction sites
- Ability to confidently stop work for unsafe conditions
- Strong communication skills with craft workers, foremen, superintendents, and subcontractors
- Proficiency with construction safety documentation, reporting, and inspections
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 510 or 500
- CPR / First Aid / AED certification
- CHST, ASP, or CSP credential
- Experience managing safety across multi-employer construction sites
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to walk large construction sites for extended periods
- Ability to climb ladders, access scaffolding, rooftops, and elevated work areas
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Willingness to work varied shifts, extended hours, or weekends as required by construction schedules
