Forklift Operator

The Forklift Operator position involves working in a fast-paced lumberyard and warehouse environment, with responsibilities that focus on material handling, safety, and inventory organization. 

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Operating Forklifts: Utilizing forklifts to load, unload, and transport building supplies, lumber, and other materials.
• Order Preparation: Building, packing, and staging loads for customer pick-up and delivery.
• Yard Maintenance: Maintaining an organized, clean, and safe lumber yard and warehouse.
• Safety Compliance: Performing daily inspections of equipment and following OSHA/safety protocols.
• Inventory Management: Assisting with inventory counts and tracking. 

Requirements:

• Experience: Previous experience operating a sit-down forklift is typically required, especially in a lumber or manufacturing environment.
• Certification: Valid forklift certification (or ability to become certified).
• Physical Stamina: Ability to work in a physically demanding, often outdoor environment, including lifting heavy objects.
• Hours: Positions often involve long hours (10+ hours), Monday-Friday schedules.
