About the Opportunity
Motivera Search Group is partnering with a respected construction firm in the Texas Panhandle to identify an experienced Heavy Civil Project Manager. This role oversees civil and commercial construction projects from kickoff through closeout, ensuring excellence in scheduling, subcontractor coordination, budgeting, procurement, and field operations.
Position Summary
The Heavy Civil Project Manager is responsible for managing multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating field and subcontractor activities, and maintaining strong communication with owners, engineers, and inspectors. This leader ensures each project is delivered safely, on time, and within budget while upholding high standards of quality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage multiple heavy civil and commercial construction projects across the Texas Panhandle
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and field crews
- Develop, track, and maintain project schedules and budgets
- Process RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
- Maintain consistent communication with owners, engineers, architects, and inspectors
- Conduct regular jobsite visits, progress meetings, and safety/quality checks
- Assist with estimating, takeoffs, and preconstruction planning
- Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services
- Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Drive projects to successful completion with a focus on safety, quality, and cost control
Qualifications Experience & Skills
- Minimum 5 years of construction project management experience, preferably in heavy civil
- Strong leadership, communication, and team?coordination abilities
- Ability to read and interpret civil plans, specifications, and technical documents
- Experience managing project schedules, budgets, and cost controls
- Proficiency with construction management software and Microsoft Excel
- Texas construction experience strongly preferred
