Concrete Superintendent (Bilingual Required)

Location: Lubbock, TX (or applicable project locations)
Salary Range: $95,000 – $125,000 Annually
Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Concrete Superintendent to oversee and manage all aspects of commercial and/or industrial concrete construction projects. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with extensive knowledge of concrete operations, crew management, scheduling, safety compliance, and quality control. Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are required to effectively lead and coordinate diverse project teams.

The Concrete Superintendent will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and according to specifications and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all concrete construction activities, including foundations, slabs, paving, tilt-wall, structural concrete, and site concrete work.
  • Manage field personnel, subcontractors, equipment, materials, and daily operations.
  • Review project plans, specifications, and schedules to ensure successful project execution.
  • Conduct daily jobsite meetings and communicate project expectations clearly in both English and Spanish.
  • Monitor labor productivity and implement strategies to maximize efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company safety policies, and site-specific safety requirements.
  • Coordinate inspections and ensure work meets quality standards and project specifications.
  • Maintain project schedules and proactively address delays or challenges.
  • Prepare daily reports, progress updates, and workforce planning reports.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Estimators, Engineers, and Clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Manage material deliveries and equipment utilization.
  • Identify and resolve field issues while maintaining project timelines and budgets.
  • Foster a positive team culture focused on safety, accountability, and performance.

Required Qualifications

  • Fluent in English and Spanish (Bilingual Required).
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Concrete Superintendent, Foreman, or similar leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial, industrial, or heavy civil concrete construction practices.
  • Proven experience managing multiple crews and subcontractors.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Strong understanding of concrete placement, finishing, formwork, reinforcing steel, and quality control procedures.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with scheduling and construction management software is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • OSHA 30 Certification.
  • Experience managing large-scale commercial or industrial concrete projects.
  • Concrete industry certifications and safety training.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office, or similar construction software.
